PropertyLittle Prince George (8 years old) was seen in public for the first time in a long time with his parents. He went with Prince William and Kate Middleton to a rugby six match in England against Wales. Spectators were happy to see him again, but especially noted his striking resemblance to Princess Diana. “He’s like his grandmother.”
They have a point, because if you put old pictures of the deceased princess next to pictures of the young prince, you’ll see an amazing resemblance. “It’s not just about his looks, it’s about his behaviour,” one person wrote on social media. “The way he looks at people, it’s as if we’re going back in time. He looks like his grandmother Diana.” Meanwhile, several videos are circulating on the internet where parts of George can be seen alongside old photos of Diana, and again they look at each other like two drops of water.

George was once again allowed to go to a sports match with his parents, as mum Kate had just been named patron of rugby football union. William has long been a patron of the Welsh rugby union. Earlier, George helped them during the World Cup, encouraging his home team England during the final match. It was a perfect opportunity for the young prince to practice an official visit, in a way that was fun for himself as well. The Little Prince is a big fan of football.
But after the match, the eight-year-old was criticized on social media and in the press for being ‘too frustrated’ at seeing his team lose and for wearing a suit. Kate and William then decided to keep their son out of the public eye for a while to ensure he had a normal childhood for as long as possible.
Also during this match, it was noticed that George has a good relationship with his parents. “Kate and William are presenting themselves as the modern parents of the monarchy,” read local papers. “They will make sure that their children have a much warmer nest than either William or his father Charles had before.”
