James Fouch defeats New Zealand’s road champion George Bennett

New Zealand’s new champion James Foch. The 23-year-old Bolton Equities Black Spoke rider crossed the fort alone after a difficult 144km. Defensive champion George Bennett was not involved: he finished twenty-second.
The race took place in Cambridge, where the route, which included a four-way climb on Maungawa Road (3.1 km 7.7%), was announced. In the process, Fouché, who has driven for Hoggens Berman Axion in the past, showed himself to be very strong: number two came in almost three minutes. It was Fosha’s teammate Tom Sexton who completed the party for the Bolton Equities Black Spoke.
Sexton was slightly ahead of the slightly larger group. Lawrence Pitti (Equipe continental Groupama-FDJ) won the sprint from this Ploton, while the UAE Raiders finished behind Bennett and Finn Fisher-Black. They are twenty-first and twenty-second.
Olivia Ray clinched the title in the women’s event. He is the fastest in the leading group of six. Allie Wolleston and Georgia Williams were allowed on stage.
