FamousJamie Lynn Spears (30), the younger sister of pop singer Britney (39), is working on her memoir. An excerpt from the book can be viewed by TMZ. In it, she told Jamie Lynn that when her parents found out she was pregnant at age 16, they wanted her to have an abortion.
Jamie Lynn was only 16 when she found out she was pregnant with her boyfriend Casey Aldridge. She was then the face of the good Nickelodeon show “Zoey 101” and so the pregnancy wasn’t quite right. In the clip, Jamie Lynn describes how she told her parents Jamie and Lynn in 2007 that she was pregnant. “They came into my room and tried to convince me that having a baby now was a horrible idea,” it seems. “It’s going to ruin your career. You’re too young. You don’t know what you’re doing. There are pills you can take that we can help you deal with this problem. I know a doctor,” Jamie and Lynn are said to have told her. Everyone around me wanted this “problem” to go away. Everyone was convinced that ending the pregnancy would be the best plan.”
But Jamie Lynn stuck with her stance: She kept the baby. Her father tried to propose adoption, but it led to a sharp disagreement between father and daughter. According to Jamie Lynn, she was prevented from telling older sister Britney that she was pregnant. “I needed her more than ever, and she couldn’t help me during this weak time. It still hurts me to this day that I couldn’t tell my sister.”
disappointment
In the end, the family decided to make a deal with Us Weekly, which would break the news and immediately publish the first photos of baby Maddie. Until then, Jamie Lynn had to hide in a cabin in the woods with Mama Lynn. Not quite a good time: “Mother wore her disappointment as her favorite coat.”
Maddie was born on June 19, 2008. A year later, Jamie Lynn and Casey broke up. In 2014, Jamie Lynn married businessman Jamie Watson. Four years later, they had another daughter, Ivy Joan Watson. Jamie Lynn has been under fire recently, ever since her sister Britney revealed how her family had been abusing her during a board hearing. “They should be locked up for what they did to me,” she said.
