In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1975 film Jaws, a documentary is being produced focusing on Peter Benchley’s and Steven Spielberg’s best-selling horror film.
It was directed by Laurent Bouzereau. Bouzereau previously wrote the book “Spielberg: The First Ten Years,” in which he spoke with Spielberg about the chaotic story of the making of Jaws.
Novel and film
Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey of Amblin will produce the documentary with director Laurent Bouzereau, Marcus Keith of Nedland Media and Ted Duvall of National Geographic.

Unique opportunity
In addition to footage and photographs from the Benchley and Spielberg archives, the film will also address current information about sharks and the ocean.

The documentary will reportedly get a summer release next year on Disney+ and Hulu.
