Prime Minister Alexander de Croo receives US President Joe Biden on Sunday evening at Millsbrook Military Airport. The Prime Minister’s Office announced on Thursday.
On Monday, de Croo will open the NATO summit at NATO headquarters in Evere. During the meeting, the heads of state and government of the 30 NATO countries will consider a series of proposals within the framework of “NATO 2030” that would strengthen the alliance politically and militarily and adapt it to future security challenges.
There will be a meeting at the royal palace on Tuesday with King Philip, Prime Minister De Croo, Secretary of State Sophie Willems, Joe Biden and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
On Tuesday afternoon, Canadian Prime Minister and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will make a joint working visit to vaccine producer Pfizer in Bors. Finally, following the working visit, there will be a bilateral meeting between the Prime Ministers of Belgium and Canada. Biden arrived in Europe on Wednesday, kicking off his tour of the United Kingdom. Before Biden visited our country, he would visit Queen Elizabeth on Sunday at Windsor Castle. He will travel from Belgium to Geneva in Switzerland, where he will also meet Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time.
The US President landed in Suffolk, UK, on Wednesday. On Thursday, he met British Prime Minister Johnson. Border controls in Northern Ireland were hanging like a dark cloud over that meeting. Biden has always been an outspoken opponent of Brexit.
