leagueInter and Juventus tied in the Italian derby: 1-1. Inter looked on their way to the three points for a long time, but Paulo Dybala prevented Oued Dam’s last-stage loss with a penalty.
Juventus started the season in a big way with 2 of 12 in Serie A, but with six straight wins – including all competitions – the old lady started a career. Juventus were more than happy to continue at Inter, the team that hosted Juventus last year for the first time since 2011.
At Guiseppe Meazza, Juventus initially looked at the cat outside the tree as usual. Inter showed more passion and rewarded for this over fifteen minutes later – Calhanoglu hit the post, and Dzeko simply checked the rebound. Juve basically lacked creativity to shake up Inter, and the result of the first half was 1-0.
After the break, Juventus came out sharper, but Inter themselves were very happy to be back. However, the Nerazzurri seemed to win the three points. Until Denzel Dumfries managed to exploit Alex Sandro within 16 minutes in the 87th minute. A penalty kick was awarded by referee Maurizio Mariani after watching the shots. 11 meters turned out to be a breeze for Paulo Dybala, who saved Juve from defeat at the extreme.
In the standings, neither team gets much done with a draw. Inter remains in third place with seven points from the leaders Napoli and Milan, and Juventus still owes three points in sixth place.
