The application was actually signed on August 11, but was not submitted to the judicial authorities until Tuesday. In 2018, the rapper actually changed his name on Twitter to Ye, which followed the release of his album of the same name. He then tweeted, “The creature officially known as Kanye West. I’m yes. In addition to being an acronym for his name, it’s also a word that appears frequently in the Bible,” he said in interviews.
