Kathleen Aerts and her husband Stephen have been dreaming of their own guest house in South Africa for years. At Villa South Africa, starting Monday 23 August at the VTM, we can follow them through this adventure. In one of the previews, we see how the purchase caused a lot of stressful moments.
“We’ve been talking about a guesthouse ten years ago,” Kathleen and Stephen say. “We’ve never thought about anything for a long time. Never. We usually act more impulsively. We’ve never thought that much.”
Their adventure provides many exciting moments that they share together as a family. In the preview we see the previous K3 saying: “We’re going to buy a guesthouse. Do you know what this is?” At some point, they take their chance and actually make an offer. “And it was sent. It happened. We’re broke,” exclaims the former K3.
“Just a downer”
All in all, it’s a research with a lot of trial and error. They also share moments of disappointment, for example when their offer is rejected. “Damn, that’s kind of depressing,” it seemed. In addition to following the mission closely, viewers get a unique insight into the life of Kathleen and her close-knit family, and everyone sees the beautiful country of South Africa through their own eyes.
