“Koulibaly makes good move after leaving Antwerp”

We will see Antwerp “new” this season, because a lot has changed at Bosuil this summer. Coach Mark van Bommel left after two years and was replaced by Jonas de Roeck, who also has a variety of players at his disposal.

Compared to last season, D-Rock already has four newcomers and three returning mercenaries, but on the other hand, seven players have already left the Great Old team. The strong bearers have not been sold yet, but a number of players whose contracts have expired and mercenaries have left.

Antwerp did not consider the Koulibaly option.

This also includes Soumaila Coulibaly. The young Frenchman was one of the revelations in the first half of last season, but lost his starting place to Zeno van den Bosch after injury and has since been unable to force his way into the team. Antwerp therefore decided not to exercise their expensive purchase option.

Koulibaly therefore had to return to Borussia Dortmund, where he has very little chance of playing minutes. However, the 20-year-old need not panic, as he seems to be making a good move this summer.

Real Betis signs Koulibaly

ABC And The Dismark Real Betis are reportedly working on his arrival. Sevilla finished seventh in La Liga last season and could therefore compete in the Conference League next season.

At Betis, Koulibaly could be seen as a successor to Shadi Riyad, who was sold to Crystal Palace this summer for €15m. He will have to compete with experienced players Diego Llorente, Marc Bartra and German Pezzella.
