“Natural materials and slatted cabinet doors are very popular,” De Schepper notes. “With a laminate or stone worktop, we give warmth and good texture to the entire kitchen. But in this worktop and the back wall of the kitchen, we also incorporated other natural elements, such as wood, stone and marble.

“Vitrified tiles or natural stone are obviously very popular with us because of the splashback,” continues Moyle. “But also ceramic or marble-look walls. Preferably with vivid veins that can stand out. Or prominently tiled walls for added depth.”

“Wrought iron display cabinets are becoming trendy again,” notes Moyle. “Glass in your kitchen provides light, transparency and depth. It makes a smaller kitchen appear larger. In a dark-colored kitchen, glass softens and enhances the kitchen. Niches are also popular. Niche space provides additional space, an extra look and an elegant touch.
