Lewis Capaldi shares health update during break: 'I'm learning how to better manage my Tourette's' | celebrities

celebritiesLewis Capaldi (27 years old) has noticed a significant improvement in his physical and mental health thanks to the time off he has had. The Scottish singer, who suffers from Tourette's disease, made the announcement on Instagram on Sunday. “It makes me really excited to get back to doing what I love.”

Last June, the Scottish singer canceled his tour to focus on his health. “I've been working with some amazing professionals to learn more about and better manage my Tourette's and anxiety issues. I'm so happy to say I've seen a significant improvement since I decided to take some time off in June,” she said gratefully on Instagram. The support of his many fans has helped him a lot. “I have never experienced such support. This makes me very excited to get back to doing what I love in the future.

Five new songs

Capaldi regrets that he was not able to promote his second album “Broken by a desire to be sent to heaven” during his time off as he would have wanted. However, the artist decided to release five additional songs on New Year's Day. “It would be a shame if these five bonus songs, which are so special to me, remained on my hard drive and never saw the light of day.”

However, the “Before You Go” singer's biggest focus remains his health. His rest period will therefore still take effect in 2024. “I'm going to take some time out to take care of myself and maybe write some new music. I want to make absolutely sure I'm back to 100 percent before I go back to doing the shows I love the most!”

The Scot has spoken several times in the past about Tourette's Syndrome, a neurological disorder in which random sounds and movements are made. For example, in the Netflix documentary How I Feel Now, he suggested that the pressures of his fame, touring and media appearances had a negative impact on his condition.
