A rare fat-headed turtle has washed ashore in the Netherlands for the fourth time in three months. One of them was very weak and covered in mussels. They had to remove them one by one at Diergaarde Blijdorp, a zoo in Rotterdam that takes care of sea turtles. Blijdorp Zoo takes care of the animals for at least three weeks, so they can then be released safely. The turtle is commonly found in and around the Gulf of Mexico, where it is threatened with extinction. Although more nests have been made and young born again recently.

The animal also appeared in our country last month. At the end of November, a fat-headed turtle washed up on Prydene, a first in our country.
