On Saturday, former US President Donald Trump introduced his own line of sneakers at Sneaker Con, a major sneaker expo in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also had a replica of his sneakers, gold shoes with the American flag on them. He signed this pair and it was auctioned off shortly afterwards. The winning bid came from Romain Sharaf, CEO of a luxury watch company. He offered $9,000 to the couple, which is equivalent to about 8,350 euros.

Sharaf was born in what was then the Soviet Union and later immigrated to the United States, where he became a luxury watch dealer.
A total of one thousand pairs of Trump sneakers were sold. They sold out in less than two hours. Those interested had to pay $399 for a pair of sneakers. Just one day before the launch of his shoe line, Trump was sentenced to a huge fine of 329 million euros.
