Last week, recordings of the new “Chantal” series for One began. “Chantal” is a detective series about Chantal Phantom, played by Mike Kavmeyer. It is part of ‘Eigen Kweek’.
On social media, a whole bunch of people already know that they won’t be watching the series, just because Maaike Cafmeyer is taking on the lead role. The actress completely lost popularity after the De Pauw affair.
Maaike is actually a key figure in the lawsuit that led to the ill-fated TV producer’s dismissal and even demise: She got the ball rolling when she filed a complaint with VRT’s secret counsel and Bart fans are far from it. Forget. So they are not nice to her.
“Real Creeper”
“Maaike Cafmeyer has gone down a lot in my estimation. No matter how well she does, I don’t need her anymore,” one wrote on social media. “She has no value to me anymore. She can climb the tallest tree.”
“It’s a real creep, that Maaike, I don’t like him anymore,” another replies sternly. “What you did is false and deceptive. First, get into a relationship with Bart de Pauw, and then, when you’re done, file a complaint with other women about sexual harassment and messages of bad intent! Well, if it doesn’t work out through him, that’s how you do it.” Should they do it?”
“Yeah, well, she’s a good actress, but what I care about is what she did with Bart de Pauw,” we read. “I thought that was really ugly. First getting into a relationship with him, then filing a complaint against him, I think there’s a smell to it.”
