FamousThomas Markle, 77, the father of Meghan Markle, 39, has revealed in a new interview that he wants to take his daughter to court if he is not allowed to see his grandchildren soon. The former lighting director had never met both Archie and Lilibet and had never seen his son-in-law Prince Harry (36) before.
The relationship between Meghan Markle and her father has been going on for some time. Just before her wedding to Prince Harry, Thomas Markle, in collaboration with the paparazzi, shot some pictures of him. At first, the Duchess of Sussex’s father also planned to accompany her down the aisle, but when he had a heart attack just before the big day, Prince Charles had to take over.
Legal action
In her interview with Oprah Winfrey, Megan explained that she feels betrayed by her father and that she struggles with the idea of a possible reconciliation. The fact that Thomas Markle also continued to speak to the press in the meantime only made the situation worse.
Meanwhile, Thomas’ health deteriorates and he begins to bite him because he has never seen his grandchildren. Archie, the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, is now two years old. Their daughter, Lillipet, was born on June 4. In an interview with Fox News, Thomas said he’s ready to take legal action if he doesn’t see his grandchildren soon. “I have the right to see them,” it sounded clear in the conversation. In addition to this, Thomas Markle has also recorded for Archie and Lilibet. “We should not punish Lily for her parents’ misconduct. Archie and Lily are young children and have nothing to do with politics. They are not pawns at a game and deserve the same rights as other royals.”
