Michelle Obama denies she wants to run for president after persistent rumors | US presidential election

This is not the first time Obama's name has been floated as a presidential candidate. However, the hugely popular former first lady has repeatedly denied aspiring to America's highest office in recent years. Now she's doing it again with her administration.

Joe Biden is not doing well in the polls for the upcoming November presidential election. Among Democrats and Republicans alike, questions are being asked about his age and his mental capacity to lead America for another four years. Biden will be 86 when he finishes his second term. According to some Democrats, Michelle Obama will have the best chance of being elected.

A poll by polling firm Rasmussen Reports released last month found Biden to be the Democratic primary choice for the November ballot.

And after the release of Special Counsel Robert Hur's report, Michelle Obama's name started trending on social media. Hur said Biden will not be prosecuted for taking classified documents with him when he leaves the vice presidency, but he described the current president as “a well-meaning old man with a bad memory.”

However, Obama says he has a “zero percent” chance of running for president and is backing President Biden's re-election campaign. “I'm not the only one sitting behind a desk in the Oval Office,” Obama said. “It's not in my heart.”
