showbizMonique Westenberg (43) is showing her cards for the first time since the break with fiancé Andre Hazes (27). In Talkies magazine, she talks about her past relationships and feelings for Andrei. “The love that I knew in my relationship with Andrei, I had never had before. In that relationship, I began to love myself for the first time, “says Monique.
Monique has slowly faded into the background since her split from André Hazes, but that’s changing now. The mother of her son, Dre, gave an interview to the Dutch magazine “Talkies Magazine”, but previously made it clear that it should not have to do with her ex-fiancé. “I really want to stress that this interview is for me, because I think it is very important that the peace and the conditions that exist now remain that way,” Monique said.
With that, she spoke about the feelings she had during her relationship with Andrei. “The love that I knew in my relationship with Andrei, I had never had before, in that relationship I began to love myself for the first time.” Monique also says she’s not open to a new love in her life and says she’s not the one-night-stand type.

Monique also made some shocking discoveries during the interview. For example, she says she was abused in her past relationships, both physically and mentally. Plus, she candidly told that she’s climbing slowly. “I am stable and happy again, but under sad circumstances.”
Unlike Monique, Andrei does not live in sad conditions. The singer has found love again with Sarah Van Solen, 25, since March. The couple shares many heartfelt photos on social media and it’s hard to hide that they are in love. According to Andrei, communication with Monique is going well. “The bond we have now, that’s what I sign if I can keep it that way.”
