Real estate company Montea is starting the new year with “strong growth” thanks to a number of cooperation agreements and new acquisitions in Belgium and the Netherlands. Thanks to the transactions, the portfolio will grow by more than 300,000 square meters of buildings, the listed specialist in logistics real estate reported on Tuesday.
In her country, Montia, for example, will collaborate with the Cordel construction group to develop 230,000 square meters of new logistics buildings in Tongren, Zile and Vilvoorde. Montea is also responsible for building Expologic in Ghent.
Montea is expanding the portfolio of its northern neighbors with the acquisition of PostNL leased premises in s-Hertogenbosch and Zwolle. In Tilburg, Montea acquires a building from the logistics company Barsan.
“In line with our on-track growth plan, we aim to achieve the largest growth in our company’s history over the next three years,” CEO Joe de Wolf said in a press release.
No financial details were mentioned. It’s great growth. At the end of the first half of 2021, Montea reported a real estate portfolio of just under 1.5 million square metres, mainly in Belgium and the Netherlands, but also in France.
