The Human Centipede is a 2009 horror film.

An evil doctor has a vision of a future where humans are stuck together like a kind of centipede with a shared digestive system. He does this by removing teeth and enlarging his victims’ buttocks.

We won’t be doing any in-depth research into the size of British drunkards’ subsequent cracks. But the fact that they were unknowingly performing a scene from this film shocked the residents of the Portuguese coastal resort of Albufeira.

Footage filmed by passers-by shows drunks on their hands and knees lined up at the Routte Caffe66 bar table.

One partygoer can be seen slapping his bare bottom while forming a bizarre party train.

Police identified eight British holidaymakers, but were initially unable to catch them in the act with their trousers on.

The mayor of Albufeira, José Carlos Rolo, expressed his frustration to a Portuguese television channel: “It does not make sense for us to have a strategy and spend money on promotion here and abroad, only to have such incidents happen, which are very negative and cause and give no one dignity.”

He added: “I ask business owners to take responsibility for customer behavior within their organizations.”
