The disaster film Under Paris debuted at the top of the foreign language film charts with 40.9 million views worldwide. It is also No. 1 in Belgium this week.
To give you an idea of how huge that staggering number is: its counterpart on the English-speaking film list, Hitman, which we don’t have yet, has “barely” 10.8 million views.
“Under Paris” also pushed the movie “Atlas” with Jennifer Lopez from first place to sixth place in the list of the top 10 Belgian films. The film introduces Paris as the host city for the World Triathlon Championships on the Seine in the summer of 2024.
Sofia, a brilliant scientist, is told by Mika, a young environmental activist, about a large shark swimming deep in the river. Sofia is no stranger to this terrifying shark, and she is forced to go back to her previous research to confirm some facts.
With the help of Adel, the Seine police chief, they join forces to prevent a massacre in central Paris.
Most of the viewers are very excited about this exciting success on Netflix. “Except for the ending scene, the movie was great overall!” Or “This is a very good movie. It’s really great! It kept me interested the whole time. I love the amazing action scenes.”
“Communicator. Avid web fanatic. Alcohol practitioner. Award-winning organizer. Bacon advocate.”
