We talked about the sequels, that the first part was well received but the result was very poor, despite the good box office. If you want to rely on these types of sites, The Matrix 2 has a score of 47% on Metacritic, 6.7 on IMDB, and 34% on Tomatoes. Although the film made more money than its predecessor, which is the point, the box office is absolutely no indication of that. But these review sites are only a rough indicator (most movies/series I like usually don't get more than 6 on IMDB).
I don't think the numbers you quote say much. I think everyone knows that the Mario movie was very well received, especially among young people. Is he creating some kind of masterpiece? No, of course not, although it is still a matter of opinion and taste. Because by comparison, Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring has a 95% audience score on Rottentomatoes, so is it as good as the Mario movie? Walk away quickly ^_^ (Also note that Mario only got 59% according to critics, compared to 91% for Lottery). In short, there are a lot of meaningless and contradictory characters.
But I don't think anyone is surprised by a comment like “not a very good movie” and that this needs to be discussed. Of course it's just an entertaining family film and not a massive tour de force.
