Club Brugge made a strong impression once again with a landslide victory over Racing Genk. Denis Odoi missed the chance to make it 2-0 before half-time.
With a score of 13 out of 15 after the Champions League semi-final, Club Brugge has emerged as one of the title favourites. Jutgla scored quickly in the first half, and in the second half the score rose to 4-0.
“The most important thing is to get the three points, especially for me,” Denis Odoi said after the match. He inexplicably missed a brilliant chance to make it 2-0 just before half-time. “That header should have been there anyway,” he admitted frankly.
The club scored Genk quickly in the second half
“So I'm happy that we scored more after the break. The quick goal helped us decide the game, but now we have found balance in the team even without the ball. We were in a good position and got the ball.” Counterattacks are still opportunities.”
Odoi said: “We said in the second half that we would defend the result by continuing to attack.” It worked, as Klopp scored goals 2-0 and 3-0 before the hour mark. Genk was soon accounted for.
The club will travel to Genk on Sunday. “Is it so? It won't be that simple. I think Franken will make some adjustments. We have to take that into account,” Odoi concluded.
