Royal Antwerp have announced the arrival of 19-year-old full-back Obed Agyapong. The youngster comes from OH Leuven and is likely to join the RAFC academy next season.
Obed Agyapong is a full-back who has made his mark many times. In 2022, he moved from KV Mechelen to OH Leuven, and is now taking another step in his development and looking to the future at The Great Old.

He has been a regular in the youth series at both Mechelen and OH Leuven, and last season made a good impression in the senior national team with promising OH Leuven. There he scored one goal in 26 matches.

Agyapong finished 16th in the first national competition with OH Leuven, so has now moved up to 14th from the same competition. In this regard, this is not a huge upgrade right away for the young defender to make.
Looking to the future, this may be the case. However, Antwerp want to step up their game with the Young Reds as soon as possible. If possible, they want to try to enter the Professional Challenger League with the promising team.
