Microsoft releases a genuine version of OneDrive for Mac with Apple M1 SoCs.

Backup folder
Additionally, Microsoft introduced a new feature in the public preview of OneDrive for macOS: Backup folderalso known as folder move.
This feature allows you to back up your macOS Desktop and Documents folders in an instant. The Desktop and Documents folder are synchronized automatically. Documents are available on any other device with OneDrive installed.
macOS device administrators can enable automatic syncing via Settings. For example, during the formation of a new workplace, after which the employee always and everywhere works with the same folders of Desktop and Documents.
Folder backup availability is limited. Only 10 percent of all Microsoft Insiders are currently eligible. The feature will be rolling out to all Insiders in the coming weeks.
