Carmaker Peugeot will offer ChatGPT 3.5 in all models of its latest generation of voice-controlled cars. The voice assistant is set to be available this month in 12 European languages and 17 European countries, including the Netherlands.
Stellantis writes In a press release ChatGPT 3.5 can be added to the latest generation 208, 2008, 308, 308 SW, 408, 508, 508 SW, Rifter, Traveller, Partner and Expert, if these cars are equipped with voice control. According to the manufacturer, the voice assistant will be part of the Connect Plus package. This package can be used free of charge for six months after purchasing a new Peugeot. After that, it costs 12 euros per month or 120 euros per year.
Customers who purchased a Peugeot before ChatGPT was introduced can also integrate the function. They will have to take out a subscription of €1.5 per month or €15 per year at the car manufacturer’s service centers. It is not clear which models are eligible or not in this case.
Peugeot has been working on ChatGPT integration for some time. The automaker started a pilot program earlier this year to add the AI-powered chatbot to all customer cars in five European countries. Peugeot is using ChatGPT3.5. The AI-powered chatbot can be activated verbally via the voice command “OK Peugeot.” According to the manufacturer, the assistant can answer a variety of questions. For example, users can ask about sights in the city.
