Talent Reveal Day is part of this year’s PotatoEurope 2021 program in Lelystad, Flevoland. The goal is to bring students and the business community into contact with each other.
DLG Benelux, the organizer of PotatoEurope 2021, and Agrofoodcluster of Emmeloord are taking the lead for Talent Scout Day, scheduled for September 2. This is the second day of the International Potato Event. The venue is the conference room on the trade fair site at the WUR Open Teelten site in Lelystad.
Starting this month, MBO and HBO students can register for Talent Scout Day and learn about the business world. The approach is to offer both students and companies a low-threshold way to contact each other.
Enthusiastic students
In a joint press release, Cor van Veldhuijsen, Director of Agrofoodcluster, stated that it is important for young people to engage with the agriculture and food sector. We have to encourage students and make them excited about our beautiful sector. That’s why we pick up this glove.
Companies can also register to participate in this new program component from June. All PotatoEurope viewers can do this for free. The companies involved in Talent Scout are listed on a special page on PotatoEurope’s website, so students can tag companies they want to learn about.
Ten minute speed dates
On September 2, students will have the opportunity to ask questions on ten-minute pace dates and participating companies can hand in their business cards. DLG’s Kono Jacobs reports that companies will also have the opportunity to post their vacancies to the job board during PotatoEurope 2021.
