This year, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth (95) will take the throne for 70 years. Her concert in June will run for four days, but the “Platinum Pudding Contest” will start this week in the UK. Participating bakers try to create a new dessert for the queen that everyone can eat during the festivities. The winner will only be announced in a few months, so for those who can’t wait, we’ve already listed three of the Queen’s favorite recipes.
They’re crazy about the Queen, these Brits, so of course her 70th anniversary as Queen should be appropriately celebrated. On Friday, June 3, an additional one-time holiday will be introduced, so that people can celebrate the special occasion over a long weekend.
To celebrate the big holiday of the sweet tooth, people naturally want to start looking for the perfect dessert. That’s why the Platinum Pudding Contest was created.
New chicken curry
Platinum candy is a dessert that has yet to be invented, but it is hoped that it will be as popular as Poulet Reine Elizabeth, also known as Coronation Chicken. The perfect dish of chicken, curry sauce and cream was created 70 years ago to mark Elizabeth’s enthronement as Queen and is still very much loved in British cuisine to this day.

Even now that the Queen has celebrated her 70th birthday, the British want to make a special meal. Only this time they are looking for a dessert, dedicated to the Queen, which we hope all British residents will eat on Sunday 5 July, the day of the so-called ‘Great Jubilee Lunch’, and that will also last for generations. All Brits with baking skills can nominate their own creations for this.
The recipes will be judged by a jury made up of several experts, including Mrs. Mary Berry, known for the popular “The Great British Bake Off”, and chef Monica Galletti. The result will undoubtedly be Lick fingers well be.
