Rainbot | Public Space Designer (32-40 hours per week, Amsterdam)

Function:

Rijnboutt is a multidisciplinary design firm where landscape architecture is the indispensable link between urban planning and architecture. As a landscape architect at Rijnbott, you work on a wide range of interdisciplinary transformational tasks at different levels, from area development to building design. You contribute to the development of vision, imaginative spatial research and the (technical) design of public and collective space in urban development plans and around buildings.

Our projects are often transformations of (inner) urban areas, for example in Amsterdam, Breda, The Hague and Utrecht. The assignments address current issues such as reuse, densification, climate-resilient construction, nature and changing mobility.

You are a well-rounded designer with a conceptual approach and a strong imagination. You have an affinity for architecture and urban planning and move comfortably between different design disciplines. You can create attractive sketches, visualizations and presentations. You also have the necessary knowledge of materials and a sense of process and are up to date with current events in the field.

What we ask of you:
· A complete course (preferably academic) in Landscape Architecture (LU/TU/AvB or equivalent);
· At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a leading agency and/or large municipality;
· Proficient in Vectorworks 2D and 3D (or willing to learn), Adobe, and Office suite;
· Good conceptual thinking and design skills.
· Good social, communication and presentation skills, as well as fluency in Dutch, both spoken and written.

You will work within a diverse team of around 45 colleagues in a beautiful building in the Amsterdam Houthavens, with a view of the IJ. You have a flexible workspace and can also use meeting spaces. Four days a week you can enjoy a cheerful and fresh lunch with your colleagues. You can take part in a boot camp once a week.

We start the week together with a meeting in the office. We share the latest ideas, working methods, techniques and craftsmanship during the Rijnbott Academy. Inspiring, motivating and respecting each other is our priority. We also find your development, both in your position and as a person, very important. With our personal training budget, you can continuously develop your knowledge and skills and grow within the agency.

Our employment conditions comply with the collective labor agreement for architects and you will receive travel expenses. Working from home one day a week is possible. Initially, we offer you a fixed-term contract, which can be converted into a permanent appointment if you feel completely at home with us.
