Union could be crowned champion of the fall with a win over KV Kortrijk, but will have to make up for the defeat against LASK Linz. “We talked about different situations against LASK and places where we should have done better,” said coach Alexander Plesin. “But I don’t want to make this loss bigger than it is. It’s about being positive in body language and looking forward again.”
KV Kortrijk has no intention of kneeling before leader Union. Thanks to victories over Cercle Brugge and Club Brugge, the Red Lanterns know they can pull off stunts. “No one is unbeatable,” coach Glenn De Boeck agreed. “We’ll go for what we deserve.”
