Some users who installed a recent update from Samsung say that their Galaxy S23 heats up faster than before.
Last week, Samsung released One UI 6.1, the latest version of Samsung's Android interface. Although there are a lot of new AI features, some users are now complaining that One UI 6.1 is causing the Galaxy S23 to overheat very quickly. Sammobile Reports.
Here's what user S23 says on Reddit The phone gets warm, even when the device is not actively used. Even if other things that might contribute to overheating are turned off, like 5G and location, it suffers from the same problem. At least one other user on Reddit says he has the same problem. Samsung has not yet confirmed the issue.
One UI 6.1 with artificial intelligence features
Samsung released One UI 6.1 on March 28. This update includes a range of artificial intelligence features, including automatic summarization, image editing, and instant translation during conversations. There's also now a Google “Circle to Search” function, which lets you circle something and then ask a question about it.
One UI 6.1 is only available for the flagship models at the moment, which are the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 tablets. Samsung has not yet announced when One UI 6.1 will be released for other smartphone and tablet models.
