Immediately, NAC had two great chances to open the scoring. At first, Kuippers’ pass from Omgba didn’t get the ball past goalkeeper Ojrinski. Boyer tried with a back heel, but his effort missed the right direction.
In the 25th minute, Janocek tried to fire the ball into the goal, again it was Kuijbers who delivered the cross, but the Den Bosch goalkeeper was able to box the ball away. In the same attack, NAC had a second chance and Leemans hit the ball well.
Lehmans withdrawal in the first half was a setback. After half an hour of play he was spotted and slotted into midfield.
After an hour of play, NAC took the lead. Minutes after coming on as a substitute, it was Hagan who shot the ball past the goalkeeper from close range. A very welcome goal for the striker and NAC.
Two minutes later, van den Berg had a chance to double the lead. Koscielnyk narrowly missed a free kick that was cut in sharply.
Twenty minutes before the end, Den Bosch defender Mbete received his second yellow card after a strong tackle on Koscelnik and had to intervene. The away team had to continue with one man less. Haugan scored from the edge of the penalty area five minutes later. The keeper had difficulty but managed to box the ball away.
After the goal, the game changed before the goal. The NAC found it difficult to find a way forward. Janocek came close to scoring a beautiful goal in the ninetieth minute. His free kick hit the aluminum.
In a match with few chances, NAC won in the end. Thanks to a Haugen goal, they won 1-0 and Jean-Paul van Gastel’s side took three points for the second game in a row.
