If people would just stop working and not sign up for the programs, this nonsense would end quickly.
I've kept my palms open for years, but to no avail so far. Why? Because I am one of the few who resist what is imposed on us. As long as the “herd” is driven by corporate revenue models, nothing will change. I have news for you: it will not change. Because the majority does not want change. They want what they are used to. Instead of looking for an alternative, they continue to cling to what they are used to.
Photo shop? Convergence? Well… I won't pay for that. I do my work using GIMP, Inkscape, and LibreOffice Draw. I get the same results as Affinity and Photoshop.
Then some image edits might cost me some extra time (no example available at the moment), so what? The program is free. And very good. What more could I hope for?
By the way, I'm not going to get into “what GIMP isn't compared to…”. I know that story now. Everything can be solved. This is what I do. I'm satisfied with it, it doesn't cost me a dime, and most importantly, I don't depend on it. That freedom is wonderful! I recommend it to everyone.
