Sony is rolling out a new PlayStation 5 system update that includes a handy Community Guide feature

Sony has begun rolling out System Update 24.03-09.20.00 for PlayStation 5. The download size of the update is 1.1 GB, which is several MB smaller than the previous update released in late March. The update does not appear to be mandatory at this time to be available on PlayStation Network.

The update comes with the usual improvements in system stability and performance. Furthermore, the Remote Play connection status has been adjusted so players can also hide the notification. The messaging system has been further improved and made more intuitive.

The biggest new addition is the Community Directory feature. In the game's Help menu, you can now also see photos of other players. You can then watch gameplay videos recorded by other players and try to imitate them. For example, think about a difficult boss fight in Elden Ring where you got stuck. With the help of the game, you can watch how other players defeated the boss and learn from how other players play. Players can choose whether or not they want to share images to help the game. By turning the auto capture feature on or off, you can decide whether to share photos with the PlayStation community.
