In Paris, on Tuesday afternoon, a spectacular robbery of a jeweler took place on the famous Place Vendôme. That BFM TV reports. Several armed and masked perpetrators fled, and the police chased them through the streets of Paris. One of the suspects left a bag full of jewellery.
The burglary took place at a Bulgari jewelry store on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 12.10pm. Police quickly arrived and opened fire on one of the fleeing robbers, who was slightly injured. While fleeing, the attackers left a bag full of jewels. A police officer was run over by the fleeing perpetrators, and he was also slightly injured.
This was followed by a chase in the surrounding streets. “The police, who were informed of a possible robbery in Place Vendome around 12 noon, were chasing a car carrying three passengers and two scooters,” a police source told AFP.
In the “Les Hall” area, thieves tried to hit a police patrol with their bicycle. The officers opened fire on the thieves again. The second offender was slightly injured, and then was arrested along with a companion.
The other perpetrators who fled in other cars have yet to be arrested, but the Paris police are said to be pursuing at least six criminals.
