The Hallemans temporarily stopped working at Aperam

Bernard Hallemans, CTSO at global stainless steel manufacturer Aperam and director of VKW Limburg, has decided to take a “sabbatical”. The employer was full of praise for the achievements of the senior manager in Limburg and immediately appointed his replacement.

As is known, Abiram has a large and very important branch in Genk. Former plant manager Bernard Hallemans has risen to the top international positions at the global stainless steel manufacturer. Hallemans currently serves globally as Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer (CTSO) at Aperam and CEO of Aperam Recycling.

But now he has decided to pause his career and take one year off. The Director of VKW Limburg in Aperam will be replaced by Jan Hoffmann, who also holds senior positions within the international organisation.

In a press release, Abiram points to the enormous advantage that Bernard Hallimans has in setting the tone for sustainability and exploiting the huge potential in the recycling and reuse sector. In the summer of 2025, Hallimans will in principle resume his role within Abiram.
