The most contagious version of the Omigron variant has spread across the United States

Scientists are closely monitoring the PA2 strain of the Omigron variant, which is quietly spreading across the United States.

BA.2 has now been diagnosed in more than 30 states, accounting for 3.9 percent of new infections and a rapid increase. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to monitor data

“If it’s back to 8 percent, it means we’re in a period of rapid growth, and we may be looking forward to another wave of Govt-19 in the United States.” Samuel ScorpinoThe director of pathogen control at the Rockefeller Foundation said: NPR

“Of course, this is what we really care about. We’re all on the edge of our seats,” Mr Scorpino said.

BA.2 is believed to be more contagious than the previous Omigran strain, and this has led to a new increase in Denmark.

However, fears of a new wave of Omicron in the United States may be avoided due to vaccine protection and immunity to previous infections.

Nathan Grubo, associate professor of epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health, said: NPR This will cause the tail to be longer than another lungi.

“Many of us think this will leave the United States as quickly as it did in Europe and become the new dominant alternative,” Grobo said.

Other scientists warn that removing the mask will allow new species to spread.

The new strain seems to be better at avoiding immune system defenses than the original Omicron variant.

BA.2 is considered the “most secretive” version of Omicron because some genetic characteristics make it somewhat difficult to detect.

Preliminary reports suggest that it may be 1.5 times more contagious than the original variant, Danish scientists said this week.

According to the Govt Supervisor of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Omigron is recording about 100,000 new cases and 2,000 deaths a day due to the spike.
