The Pagani Zonda Arrivederci is the very, very last. Real. Counts.

The Pagani Zonda reminds us a bit of the 80s. No, not because of the supercars of that era, although the amazing designs were also popular back then. No, we are referring to the guitar solos of the typical rock bands. They just went away. There was no end to that. The same goes for the Pagani Zonda, there is no end to it. This is the Pagani Zonda Arrivederci and it is the last Zonda ever. Counting.

We’ve heard this before. The Pagani Zonda went out of production in 2010. Then we drove the Zonda R and the Zonda Tricolore, the last Zondas to be built at the time. And then, indeed, Mask operation Pagani would always build a few Zondas. But no one expected that they would come up with a new Pagani Zonda almost 15 years later.

Pagani Zonda Arrivedersi (pronounced like Brad Pitt)

The Pagani Zonda Arrivederci should be the last true Zonda. And because it is a Zonda, this car still packs AMG’s naturally aspirated M120-V12, so the glory of the 7.3-liter unit in this case is good for 800 horsepower. The transmission is the divine six-speed manual. In a way, you’re just a real man (m/f) with a V12 engine and a manual transmission. It’s the automotive equivalent of chest hair.

Over the years, there have been many upgrades to the Zonda and it seems that all the requirements have been met. Whether it is beautiful, let’s leave it open. It’s like a pizza: choosing all the ingredients doesn’t automatically make it tastier. However, the finishing, the use of materials and the quality of the Paganis are at an insanely high level, which is why the Pagani Zonda Arrivederci gets away with it.

How new is this Zonda really?

By the way, we have to add a little nuance with the “last Zonda”. Many Zondas have passed through the years, but not all of them are brand new. Pagani offers – for a hefty additional fee, of course – an upgrade for your existing Zonda. In effect, you get a new car, but the chassis number remains the same.

This way you can simply turn an early Zonda C12S into a Zonda F Club Sport. Or you can bring more money and they will build you a unique Zonda. And that’s exactly what happens in many cases. It’s good for Pagani, because it means they get in the news more often (we get involved too) and can make twice as much money on a single chassis. Plus, the old car doesn’t have to meet all the new requirements.
