Get your streaming devices out, because Philips has finally added a search function to the Philips Hue app. Now I hear you thinking: “I don’t have that many smart bulbs that I need a search function, do I?” However, you’d be surprised how many smart bulbs you have in your home. You have all sorts of bulbs in your living room and bedroom. We can’t forget the bathroom, and of course you also have the kitchen and dining room. This adds up quickly. The new search function lets you search for and manage specific groups or bulbs in the app. This way you no longer have to spend hours searching for the right bulb in the app.

Secure your home from the app

If you secure your home with an alarm, there are two types of security. The first is security when you are home and the second is security when you are away from home. You can now switch between the two types of security in the Security Center in the app.

I don’t see any new features in the app yet.

To use the new features, you need the latest version of the app. Go to the Google Play Store and search for the Philips Hue app. Install the update, if available, and you’ll be able to access the new features.
