Liam Lawson was very successful at the DTM Championship, which came to the DT circuit in Assen this weekend. The 19-year-old Red Bull racing talent finished on stage in both races, ten points ahead of Kelvin van der Linde of the Netherlands.
The young talent from New Zealand is busy: this year he will be competing in both Formula 2 and DTM. In the latter race class, he will lead the championship after the race weekend in Ascension.
Lawson is doing good business on behalf of Red Bull
He does so on behalf of the AF course offered by Red Bull. His Red Bull teammate Alexander Alban was also at Assange: he plays for the Alfadori AF course. So on two weekends things seem rosy to the young driver. “If you look at the points, it was the best weekend for me.”, Lawson says in conversation Motorsport.com.
“It’s very positive that we’re in the lead at this crucial point, and we’re done a lot of rounds suitable for our Ferrari. Lawson concludes.
