The United States has added 27 more companies to its list

The United States wants to prevent the use of American technology in military operations in China and Russia by so-called corporate listings. Blacklisted companies will be banned from trading in the United States, making it difficult for them to purchase equipment and software.

Companies in China, Japan, Pakistan and Singapore have been blacklisted. Eight Chinese companies are specifically included in the list for their support in modernizing the Chinese military. These parties use quantum technology to support military applications, such as operations against submarines. The United States hopes to prevent China from advancing quantum technology.

The 16 companies and individuals operating in China and Pakistan have been added to the company list based on their contribution to Pakistan’s “safe nuclear operations” and ballistic missile programs. Three partners of Goret Technology Ltd have been added to the list of companies involved in selling US and Western technology to Iran for military and aerospace purposes, including North Korean companies, the Chinese government and the Chinese military.

The list has been expanded for the second time this month. Earlier, the United States added Israel’s NSO to its list of companies following WhatsApp’s complaints against the company’s hacking and spy tools.

The United States says a Russian company has been added to another blacklist: Military End User (MEU). The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology manufactures military products for military end users, according to the US government.

Meanwhile, the Chinese government has told Reuters that it is disappointed with the additions and may take counter-measures.
