Nürburgring Records, One Hip colabs Spend big bucks with fashion brands or untalented influencers to promote your brand. It’s all unnecessary. What do people in Europe really want? Pay as little for as much car as possible. And if there’s one brand that offers that, it’s Dacia. JATO Dynamics has compiled sales figures for the first half of 2024 and concluded that the Dacia Sandero is the most popular car in Europe right now.
In the Netherlands, the Dacia Sandero is currently the cheapest new car. You can take it home for €17,500. The Mitsubishi Space Star is exactly ten euros cheaper, but it’s currently only available in stock. So we’re secretly not counting them. In the pictures above you can see the absolutely gorgeous Stepway. It costs at least €20,500, which is still a lot less than the Duster at €25,500.
Other most popular cars in Europe
You could complete the rest of the top ten almost blindly. However, we still expect the Polo to be somewhere in between. Although: it’s so expensive these days that you might as well save up for a Golf, number two. The Polo is now 24th on the list of the most popular cars in Europe. Incidentally, the Dacia Duster is just outside the list at 12th. The Tesla Model Y was also the most popular car in Europe for a while, but has now dropped to eighth place.
