Water Resistant Smartphones
Many phones today are water resistant. It has almost become a standard feature of premium smartphones, but we’re also seeing it more and more in mid-range phones. Think Samsung Galaxy A52 For example whether Sony Xperia 10 III. Both smartphones come with IP68 certification, which means that it can stay underwater for half an hour, while its depth can reach 1.5 meters.
With such a water-resistant phone, you have to take into account that the longer you use it, it may not protect as well as when you bought it. If your phone has already taken quite a few hits on the floor, this could damage the gasket, glue, and seals that keep the water from getting out.

Free app water resistance test You can check if your smartphone is still waterproof, with a simple test. You apply light pressure to the screen with both thumbs, then the app uses the barometer to see if your device is still weatherproof. You can’t cheat the app either, because with phones that aren’t waterproof, they’ll notice it right away. This, of course, does not mean that you should take your phone with you for swimming because it passed the test.
The business requirement is that your phone has an atmospheric pressure gauge. This was missing with the Xperia 10 III, so you can’t test the water resistance.
