Fortunately, applying eyeliner wasn't one of Hercules' twelve labors, or the boy would still be doing it. After all, a perfect handwriting is a major accomplishment. If you miraculously succeed, the other side will almost certainly be too high, too low, too bumpy, or too twisty.

Our beauty editor tests out an 'eyeliner template'

I usually skip eyeliners and liquid eyeliners and limit myself to a little mascara. Quickly and easily. But what if there was a trick to making both fonts not only perfect, but identical? This handy stencil promises perfect eyeliner over the eyes every time, and for less than €10. But does the tool actually deliver on this promise?

Unfortunately no. In the product photos, the eyeliner looks elegant and chic. In fact, it's a messy mess, and the tool also stamps in some extra eyeliner under and next to my eyes. Once I was able to draw a nice black line (after about ten attempts). Even then it wasn't quite the suite I wanted. The line is too low and too rounded to allow this, as if there were a tiny shrimp tail dangling out of the corner of my eye. No, I can still get the job done faster without a template. This means something.
