This is how you turn off friend suggestion notifications

One of the notifications Facebook sends is about friend suggestions. Once the app has someone to introduce it to you, it sends a notification. Remarkably, it often has to do with people you don’t know, and the question is how Facebook selects people. While Facebook wants to keep sending you notifications, it does offer the option to disable notifications for these friend suggestions. Facebook will continue to make suggestions to you, but it will only do so when you open the app.

Disable suggestion notifications

Notifications can be disabled via the Facebook app for Android and iOS, as well as via the (mobile) browser on Android, iOS, Windows, Mac OS and other operating systems. Here are the steps for the Facebook app for Android. Since the design of Facebook apps on iOS and Android is almost identical, you can probably follow the steps below on iOS as well.

1. open the Facebook app
2. click on it hamburger menu click on the right
3. Scroll down to do so Settings and privacy Encounters
4. Click Settings and privacy
5. then press Institutions
6. Then go to Notification settings
7. click on it people you may know
8. Make sure to switch back Allow notifications on Facebook turning off

Once the switch is turned off, you will not receive any notifications regarding friendship suggestions at all. If you want to receive notifications again in the future, you can do step 8 vice versa.
