If you thought Nicky Hayen would soon be starting in a completely different starting lineup to Deila, you'll likely be disappointed. The interim coach just wants the details to be different. So no more crashing. Therefore, the most important change will occur mainly in the midfield.
Hans Vanaken is of course a sure thing in this midfield. The veteran of many wars will be given the freedom to walk where he wants under Heine's command. He has to direct the game and he has the qualities to do so. And those around him, Hein wants to see change.
Onyedika almost certainly
For example, if Vanaken drops to collect the ball for the defence, the 'six' and 'eight' are not supposed to be there. When they have the ball, they must move to a higher position and preferably run deep so that Vanakken has several options and the opposition has to make choices.
That is why Rafael Onyedika will almost certainly be trusted. After the winter break and his time with the national team, Deila often pushed him aside for Balanta, Nielsen or Wittelsen.
However, this would be a smart move, because the board was not convinced that the 22-year-old Nigerian, who can still make a lot of money, was using so little. The third position in midfield is more difficult.
Nielsen or Vitelsen?
There is talk that Hayen will replace Casper Nielsen as the Dane has the ability to cover a lot of ground. He also felt that he was often misused under Deila because he had to play so consistently.
The system will remain the same, its implementation will simply be different. Hine wants to see more changes in attitude, also from his attackers. Like everyone else, Hein saw Klopp becoming more predictable in attack.
Not enough people got into the box either. Since he wants to play dominantly, he wants to put his midfield at the highest levels. Hugo Vetlesen may have to pay for this.
