Samsung will launch its first laptops with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon The new Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge should be able to compete with Apple’s MacBook Pro in terms of performance and battery life.
Images and specifications of the new Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge laptops have been leaked Via Wayne Future. Samsung launches the laptop in two versions equipped with 14- and 16-inch OLED screens. What is striking is that the new Samsung laptops no longer run on Intel processors, but rather with Snapdragon X Elite chipsets from Qualcomm. This should ensure battery life is similar to the latest MacBooks.
There will be three variants of the Galaxy Book 4 Edge, including a Pro model. According to WinFuture, at least one version of Samsung’s new laptops has the most powerful X Elite chipset, which has twelve computing cores.
3K OLED screen
The Super AMOLED display on the laptop has a 3K resolution and 400 nits brightness. The 14-inch model has two USB-C ports and an HDMI port, while the 16-inch version also has a USB-A port, a microSD card slot, and a built-in numeric keypad. Storage space has not been leaked yet.
The new Samsung laptops won’t be cheap, as prices will start around €1,800.
More AI-powered computers around Microsoft event
Samsung is likely to unveil the new laptops next Monday, May 20. Microsoft will next hold an event to showcase the new Surface laptops, which are also powered by the Snapdragon X Elite chipset. More manufacturers will announce so-called computers with artificial intelligence on that day. For example, Asus is launching the Vivobook S 15, which is also equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite chipset.
