For Alexis Vuillermoz, 2024 is his last year as a professional cyclist. He added that the 35-year-old Frenchman will end his career at the end of the season Instagram.
“It is with pride and emotion that I announce that 2024 will be my final professional season,” Vuillermoz wrote. There are still big competitions waiting for me and I will continue to give everything so that I can retire without any regrets.”
Vuillermoz turned professional in 2013 at Sojasun, where he had previously completed his apprenticeship. In 2014 he entered the WorldTour with AG2R La Mondiale. He led this team for seven years, after which he switched to Total Direct Energie, now TotalEnergies, in 2021. He still rides courses for this formation.

In total, Vuillermoz has managed to achieve nine professional victories. His biggest victory dates back to July 11, 2015, when he won the eighth stage of the Tour de France. He was the best in Mûr-de-Bretagne that day. His list of achievements also includes the 2017 Tour of Limousin and the second stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné of 2022.
In addition to his victories, the puncher also achieved several honors in the major classics. For example, he rode in the top 10 twice in the Flèche Wallonne (sixth in 2015 and 10th in 2022) and even finished fourth in the 2017 Tour of Lombardy. In the same year, he also finished 13th in the final classification of the Tour de Tour . France.
