Werder Bremen are desperately looking for reinforcements for their defence. They are also knocking on our door, because at least two teams have to fear losing a player soon.
Mark McKenzie looks set to leave KRC Genk. He has yet to play for Genk this season and the chances of that happening are getting slimmer. The American defender is hoping for a move.
And it looks like it’s coming. After all, there’s a lot of interest from Germany in the 25-year-old international. Werder Bremen, Mainz and Stuttgart have all enquired about him. The first team certainly looks tangible.
According to various other sources, RSC Anderlecht have also moved for McKenzie. The question is of course whether Genk will be willing to let their defender leave for a direct rival from his country.
Samoa is also in the spotlight.
Mackenzie would also prefer to move abroad. He wants to take the next step in his career. With only one year left on their contract at the Segeca Stadium, the Limburgers can’t do much more.
The same can be said about KAA Gent. Mathis Samoas is also in Werder Bremen’s interest. He also has one year left on his contract and is therefore likely to leave the Buffaloes.
