A unicorn was born in the Cotswold Wildlife Park in southern England and was named Queenie to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II of Britain’s jubilee. She will assume the throne for 70 years this year.
“All rhinos are named after special characters, and I think everyone will agree that 2022 will be forever special due to the platinum anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to Queen Elizabeth II,” said the director of the Cotswold Zoo. “I thought it was a bit arrogant to call her Elizabeth, so she became Queenie.”
On that anniversary, four days of festivities are planned for early June, with a military parade, a big concert, and picnics across the country.
The British Queen will turn 96 next month, but she has struggled with health problems in recent months. On Friday, he announced that she would not participate in the Commonwealth celebration in London. It was long expected that she would reappear in public after months there.
