Earlier this month, Ubisoft held its annual Forward showcase, where projects for the upcoming period were showcased. However, Beyond Good and Evil 2, a game that was originally announced in 2008, is nowhere to be seen.
Beyond Good and Evil 2, along with Skull and Bones, are games that have been in development for a very long time. Skull and Bones is out now, but Beyond Good and Evil 2 is nowhere to be seen. Ahead of the Ubisoft Forward presentation, rumors emerged that a new trailer could be shown. Unfortunately, this trailer was not available. This caused unrest among fans, as many people no longer believed that Beyond Good and Evil 2 was in development or would be released at all.
Ubisoft is now reassuring fans with a message on the social media platform
Ubisoft will release Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition this week, a polished version of the classic game for modern consoles. This game will be released digitally in various stores this week. A physical copy of the 20th Anniversary Edition of Beyond Good & Evil will also hit store shelves later in the year.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 was announced in 2008 by Rayman creator Michel Ancel. Several trailers and technical demos of the game were released in 2018 and 2019, but then Michel Ancel suddenly decided to stop the development of the game. Since then, we haven’t seen or heard anything about Beyond Good and Evil 2 until today’s tweet.
It is unknown when Ubisoft will finally reveal Beyond Good and Evil 2 again. That could be 2025 or later.
